I have been a professional artist for 45 years. Working in Oils, Watercolor, pen & ink, and pencil. Since 1985 I have worked in bronze sculptings with 27 sold out editions at this time. I will be adding prints of my work in the near future.

2007 My work appeared at the Martin Luther King celebration. This was held in Augusta, Ga
2006 my portraits of James Brown were featured at the first James Brown Music festival, held in Augusta, Ga.I won the Best of Show, Senators Award in this show. One of my paintings was installed next to his casket at his funeral which was held at the James Brown Arena, in Augusta.
2005: Exhibitions have been held as one woman shows in the Greenblatt Library, MCG Hospital gallery, the Lucy Craft Laney Museum and at Artistic Impressions Gallery. All of which are in Augusta, Ga.
My work was well received with 35 paintings sold. Commisions totaled 12 for future work.
2004-2003- 2002: Being New to the CSRA I used this time to promote my art. I won a design show for The Star, a local newspaper for designing the news boxes . During these years I also worked on murals in private homes, businesses, nursing homes , churches and the complete backdrop for WBIM television station.
Working with a home decorator, my paintings have sold to her customers who needed something special for their homes. I also belong to the North Augusta Art Guild, and the Augusta Art Guild.
ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE PAST
My work has been chosen 5 times for Art in Public Places in NM.. Is in the permanent collection of the Cowboy Hall of Fame. Chosen to exhibit in the Governors Gallery and received the Governors Award for excellence in the arts in NM.. The nominations were made by Senator Joe Harvey, Congressman Joe Skeen, and the Mayor of Hobbs, NM.
I have been a demonstrator for Grumbacher where I gave lectures and demonstrations of their art supply products. With this I covered 7 states which included Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, Utah and Ohio.
New Mexico produced a 26 week series featuring my style of painting , which aired for 3 years.
I taught for 12 years, with a style that allowed students to complete a painting in 3 hours. During this time I traveled and gave lectures in 39 states as well as demonstrations. Appearing on television talk shows in as many places helped to promote and sell my work.
Champion Homebuilders in Michigan, sponsored me in a tour by giving me a motorhome. I traveled all across the US, including Mexico, Canada and Alaska showing and selling my work, giving lectures and promoting Champion. Also appearing on television, wherever I happened to be.
I have been fortunate in meeting and getting to work with and learn about some of the really greats in artists.
Robert Garden, Texas taught me many aspects of simplifying my work.
Charles R Crouch , NM taught me how to capture a horse or person quickly with pencil.
Ken Payne, NM helped teach me how to sculpt with more realism, while I worked in his foundry.
Dalhart Windburg, Texas gave me the knowledge to paint like a master.
Dave McGary, While I worked in his finishing studio, I learned the paint and patina process of sculpting
Gorden Snydow, NM a Cowboy artist helped me refine my watercolors, and learn more about publishing.
Peter Hurd, NM for his open door and willingness to help me see things better.
Henrietta Wyeth Hurd, for her graciousness in letting me watch her work and share her thoughts with me.
And finally, Michael Hurd, for all the coffee he brought me while I was working.
I started painting when I was 11 which has been 55 years ago.
Worked as a commercial artist. Designed dishware for potteries.
Created catalogs for different companies. Designed clothing for Ms NM contestants.
Painted signs. Designed ads for newspapers.
Painted murals. Painted architectural renderings.
Designed furniture. Was the judge for many art guilds in 18 states.
Painted Automobiles and Customized them Had my own screen printing shop.
These are some of the accomplishments that I have had the pleasure of working on. The list is long the clients range from
everyday people to Congressmen, Senators, Governor, Fmr President George Bush, President George Bush, RichardFarnsworth, Amanda Blake, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne and President Linden Johnson and Lady Bird.
